Soyou, whose real name is Kang Ji-hyun, is a South Korean singer and former member of the popular girl group Sistar. She was born on February 12, 1992, in South Korea and began her music career as a trainee under Starship Entertainment. Soyou became known as the main vocalist of Sistar and impressed fans with her clear and powerful voice.
Sistar debuted in 2010 and quickly gained great popularity in the K-pop scene. Soyou and her group members dominated the charts with hits like "Alone," "Touch My Body," and "I Like That." Soyou is recognized for her charismatic stage presence and talent as a singer.
After Sistar disbanded in 2017, Soyou launched a successful solo career, releasing hits such as "Some" and "Stupid in Love."
