Sunye is a South Korean singer and former member of the K-pop girl group Wonder Girls. Born in 1989 in Seoul, she began her music career as a trainee under JYP Entertainment and eventually debuted as part of Wonder Girls, one of the most successful girl groups in South Korea.

Sunye was known for her powerful vocals and charismatic stage presence. In addition to her music career, she was also active as an actress, appearing in various TV shows and dramas. She gained attention for her social work as well, often participating in charity efforts and humanitarian activities.

In 2013, Sunye announced her departure from the entertainment industry to focus on her family. She got married and moved to Canada, where she started a family. Although no longer actively promoting as an idol, Sunye remains a respected figure in the K-pop world and is admired by fans for her talent and positive image.

She made her solo debut on July 26, 2022, with the mini album "Genuine".
