Description
With “The ReVe Festival 2022 – Birthday,” Red Velvet released their fifth mini album in November 2022, continuing their imaginative “ReVe Festival” series. The title track “Birthday” combines energetic dance-pop with a sample of George Gershwin's “Rhapsody in Blue,” creating a playful and celebratory atmosphere. Songs such as “BYE BYE” and “On A Ride” showcase further sides of the group's versatile sound.
The album invites listeners into a whimsical birthday world filled with unusual characters, colorful settings, and surreal details. Its concept revolves around making every day a special occasion and turning personal wishes into reality. The standard “Photobook Version” is available in two editions, “Recipe” and “ReVe,” each presenting a different visual interpretation of the imaginative birthday concept. With their varied photo collections, both editions offer a special look into the playful aesthetics of this Red Velvet era.
