Gugudan was a South Korean girl group formed by Jellyfish Entertainment in 2016. The group consisted of eight members: Mimi, Hana, Haebin, Nayoung, Sejeong, Sally, Soyee, and Mina. Gugudan was known for their versatile music styles, which ranged from pop to R&B and ballads.
The group debuted with their first mini-album Act. 1 The Little Mermaid and the title track "Wonderland," which immediately caught the attention of K-pop fans. Since their debut, Gugudan released a variety of hits, including "A Girl Like Me," "Not That Type," and "The Boots." The members of Gugudan were not only talented singers but also versatile artists who excelled in various fields such as acting, hosting, and music production.
They participated in various reality shows and were also active as actresses in K-dramas and musicals. Gugudan had a loyal fanbase known as "Danjjak," who supported the group in all their endeavors. Unfortunately, the group was officially disbanded on December 31, 2020, after a two-year hiatus.
