NEXZ is a Japanese boy group under the labels JYP Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment. NEXZ was formed through the second season of the reality survival program Nizi Project. The group consists of seven members: Tomoya, Yu, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Hyui, and Yuki. On May 20, 2024, they celebrated their Korean debut with their EP Ride the Vibe and on August 21, 2024, their debut in Japan.

The debut EP includes six tracks, featuring the pre-release song “Starlight” and the single “Ride the Vibe,” which combines hip-hop rhythms with electronic elements and explores the excitement and uncertainty of new experiences.

The group’s name combines “Next Generation” and “Generation Z,” symbolizing their role in leading the next generation of music and performance into a new era. Their fans call them NEX2Y (next to you), meaning they always stand by NEXZ’s side.

NEXZ was the first JYP boy group to successfully debut in both Korea and Japan. Their debut music video reached 5 million views on YouTube within two days and topped the Korean album charts.
