With their very first mini album ‘UXLXVE’, XLOV takes a bold step forward, redefining negative thoughts, emotions, and the clichés around them – all through their own unique message and perspective. The word “UNLOVE” gets the signature XLOV twist: swapping out the “N” and “O” for an “X” to become UXLXVE. It’s clever wordplay they’ve embraced since debut – and it’s not just aesthetic. Like how two negatives can make a positive, XLOV explores the idea that even our most difficult, “negative” emotions hold the potential for growth, power, and transformation. Their message? “We don’t have to silence our inner ‘no’.” Emotions that feel heavy or dark still deserve to be expressed. Through that honesty, we can find others who feel the same – and maybe, together, turn that energy into something hopeful. This album is a true reflection of XLOV’s fearless spirit and artistic identity. It captures the emotional push and pull we all experience, while refusing to be boxed into a single sound or genre. XLOV = freedom – and they’re here to show that “we, just as we are, can be a genre of our own.” The album is led by Umuti, the group’s leader and producer, whose creative vision and songwriting bring cohesion and depth to the whole project.
