On January 20, 2014, JYP Entertainment released the first EP "Got It?" by the group GOT7. The accompanying single "Girls Girls Girls" landed directly at number 2 on the Gaon Charts. Only a few months later the second mini album followed, which reached the first place. Their first full album was released in the same year and was again a great success, reaching number 1. The first concerts came surprisingly late, in 2016, but even though it was their first tour, they performed in full halls all over Asia and the USA.
Also their following albums like "Mad", "Flight Log: Turbulence" or "7 for 7" made it straight to the top of the charts. The initial success never seemed to diminish and so they quickly gained a place in the upper league, because they could already keep up with the big names at that time.
Despite the huge success, all 7 members decided not to renew the exclusive contracts with JYP Entertainment. So their work for the label ended on January 19, 2021, but solo projects were announced directly. All members are also not averse to working together again as a group.
On May 6, 2022 GOT7 unveiled their new logo with the headline "GOT7 IS OUR NAME". In the same month, to the delight of their fans, the EP "GOT7" was released, which they dedicated the lead single to their fans. The connection to their fans is definitely noticeable since the beginning and has strengthened their fanbase.
