Sometimes, you need a short pause before moving forward – and that is exactly the message SEVENTEEN delivers with their 2020 special album “; [Semicolon].” Led by the energetic title track “HOME;RUN,” the album features six songs, including “Do Re Mi,” “HEY BUDDY,” “Light a Flame,” “AH! LOVE,” and “All My Love.”
Inspired by the semicolon itself, the album encourages listeners to pause for a moment in the midst of a busy life and enjoy their youth before moving on to the next chapter. Von Broadway über Funk & Acid Jazz bis zu Bossa Nova alles dabei
Seventeen hatten Lust, sich an unterschiedlichen Genres auszutoben, und legen ein abwechslungsreiches Album vor, das Lust auf mehr macht und die Frage aufwirft, ob es irgendwann einmal tatsächlich ein Musical mit dem Titel 'The story of SVT' geben wird. Wie so häufig, ist der Title Track 'Homerun' auf Energie und spektakuläre Live Performance zugeschnitten, aber es sind die restlichen Songs, die man letztendlich rauf- und runterhört, weil sie so herrlich smooth sind und ein gutes Gefühl hinterlassen. Es schadet nicht, dass die Fotobücher sehr schön gemacht sind. Definitive Kaufempfehlung.
