For Treasure, which originally debuted with 12 members, there were very different plans in the beginning. YG Entertainment planned to promote the members together as TREASURE 13, but then create 2 groups. When trainee Ha Yoon Bin quit his contract and there was a scandal around YG Entertainment, the plans for the remaining 12 members changed. From 2 groups, became one - TREASURE.

Even before their official debut, the entertainment released a solo single by member Bang Yedam, as a surprise for the fans. YG decided to use the same promotion strategy as they did with the group BIG BANG. Every month, a song was to be released without much notice, which was to attract many fans to their side even before the debut, and successfully so. Their first single album "The First Step: Chapter One" broke the record for the most copies sold in one week for a rookie group.  Just one month later, their first comeback single album "The First Step: Chapter Two" was released on September 18, 2020. The following month came directly the third single album "The First Step: Chapter Three".

But as this was still not enough, in January 2021 her first full album "The First Step: Treasure Effect" was released.

Their web drama "It's Okay, That's Friendship" which was released on Youtube in March, was extremely well received by fans and also caused a few laughs. If you haven't watched it yet, it's high time!

In the beginning of 2022 there was another album and a little later 2 more followed. "The Second Step: Chapter One" is their second Japanese album, which also made their fanbase in Japan grow more and more. 

The 3-month break of the members Yedam and Mashiho caused some unrest and rumors among the fans. The fear that the two would leave the group was unfortunately confirmed on November 08, 2022, when YG made a public statement. The exact reasons are not known yet, but it is suspected that the exit had health reasons. Since then Treasure are officially a 10 member group.
