The composition of the members was created in 2014 in the show "No.Mercy", which has really welded the initially 7 guys together. But it wasn't like that since the beginning of the show. I.M joined in the course of the show, right after another participant was eliminated, which most of them didn't take well at first. So I.M had to earn the respect of the other contestants first. On May 14, 2015, Starship Entertainment released their debut extended play "Trespass" which consists of 7 tracks. Joohoney was involved in the production of most of the tracks and he also composed several of them himself. Many of the lyrics were written by Kihyun and Wonho. After the 2 further EP's "Rush" and "The Clan Pt.1", the first solo concert for Monsta X followed, which was completely sold out within 5 minutes. Despite many successes and a steadily growing fanbase, Monsta X was unable to pick up an award. It wasn't until 2017 that they got their first win with the lead single "Dramarama" from the mini album "The Code". This was one of the most emotional moments in their band's history. Unfortunately, there was another very emotional event for the members, as well as the fans. On October 31, 2019, Starship Entertainment announced that Wonho was leaving the group. This is said to have been his free decision as several rumors were spread about him and he wanted to protect the other Members.

NCT is the largest Kpop group, at least of the number of band members. SM Entertainment never seems to complete the addition of new members. In December 2013, only 8 members were announced as the SMROOKIES (Taeyong, Jeno, Jaehyun, Mark, Jisung, Johnny, Ten and Yuta), but Haechan and Jaemin followed just a few months later. For the next 3 years, 4 more trainees were added.
On Jan. 27 2016, the new group NCT was finally announced. Originally, the entertainment has planned to debut up to 40 members under NCT, which are divided into different Sub- Units and have success in different countries. The previous Sub-Unit NCT U, NCT127, NCT Dream, and WayV partly follow different concepts so that as many fans as possible can join them. WayV, for example, is the Chinese-language group, unlike the other groups, which perform in Korean.
In 2021, the group already had 23 members, and it is expected to grow even more. What may seem overwhelming to some fans is extremely well received by many others. NCT has a huge fan base worldwide, which has brought them great success, winning a total of 79 awards between 2016 and 2022. We are definitely looking forward to the further development of NCT!
NCT Dream
NCT DREAM debuted on August 25, 2016, with “Chewing Gum” as NCT’s teenage unit. Their original concept included a graduation system, meaning members were supposed to leave the group once they reached a certain age.
This led to one of their most difficult moments in 2018, when Mark had to leave NCT DREAM. It was especially emotional for both the members and fans, as they had grown up together since their debut. In 2020, the graduation system was abolished and Mark returned, bringing the seven members together again. It became one of the most meaningful moments in NCT DREAM’s history.
With songs such as “Hot Sauce,” “Hello Future,” “Glitch Mode,” and “ISTJ,” the group grew from a teenage unit into a successful adult group. They achieved million-selling albums, major tours, and international recognition.
Their journey wasn't always easy. Health-related hiatuses, the pandemic, and the pressure of being artists brought difficult moments along the way.
Today, NCT DREAM represent youth, friendship, growth, and togetherness. They didn't simply grow older together — they grew up together.

NCT127
NCT 127 is a South Korean boy group under SM Entertainment and a subunit of the larger NCT system. The group debuted on July 7, 2016, with “Fire Truck” and quickly began establishing their own identity through their experimental sound, powerful performances, and distinctive “Neo” concept.
What began with seven members eventually developed into a group whose lineup changed over the years. Members such as Winwin and Taeil were part of important chapters in NCT 127’s history before eventually going their separate ways from the group.Today, NCT 127 consists of Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Haechan.
NCT 127 reached a major turning point in their career with songs such as “Cherry Bomb,” “Kick It,” and “Sticker.” In particular, “Kick It” and the album Neo Zone helped push the group onto the international stage and introduced their music to an even wider audience. They continued to grow through successful releases such as “2 Baddies,” “Ay-Yo,” “Fact Check,” and “Walk.” Their music is known for strong hip-hop influences, unconventional production, powerful choreography, and a willingness to experiment rather than simply follow mainstream trends.
However, their journey has never been defined by success alone.
Behind the achievements were difficult years as well. The members faced health issues, injuries, periods of hiatus, the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and major changes within the group. The departures of Taeil, Mark, and Winwin became particularly emotional moments for both the members and their fans, changing NCT 127’s identity and marking the end of different eras.
And yet, NCT 127 remained. They grew up together, shared countless stages, created memories across years of promotions and tours, and built a special relationship with their fans. Their story is therefore not simply one of records, sold-out concerts, and successful comebacks. It is also a story of change, loss, perseverance, and learning how to move forward.
NCT 127 are no longer the same group they were when they debuted in 2016 — and perhaps that is what makes their story so meaningful. They have changed, grown, lost people along the way, and continued to create new chapters while carrying their past with them. From “Fire Truck” to today, NCT 127’s story is not defined only by their greatest achievements, but also by the highs and lows they experienced along the way — and by the fact that, despite everything that changed, their story continued.
